Homemade Hummus

Homemade hummus for afternoon tea.

I was without food processor for so long, I often still "mentally skip" the recipes that require one. Recently Mum gave me her old one and I've been having fun trying out some new (to me) recipes - like hummus.

This is a super easy recipe using stock items in my pantry:

1 tin chickpeas
1/4C peanut butter
3-4T olive oil
1t cumin
lemon juice
1 garlic clove

I overdid the garlic...mmmm garlic breath....so know for next time that more is not always better in that department. Next time I might try adding some sundried tomatoes.

Yum!

  1. oh you can't go wrong!

That reminds me, years ago a woman at work got married and was horrified she was given a food processor as a gift. She said 'what do they think we're going to do with a food processor? Blend all our food like old people?' Oh she was missing out. They're so useful!
